Circuit training is a great way to burn fat and save time. Circuit training works by exercising intensely for minutes at a time with little to no rest followed by a less intense exercise.
This method of training works to burn fat because your heart rate stays elevated throughout the entire workout. Circuit training may also be referred to as HIIT (high intensity interval training) You can perform these circuit training exercises at home, on the treadmill or in a group exercise class.
The point is to push yourself to your maximum heart rate for a few minutes, then allow to cool down for a few minutes and repeat. This cycle of intensity followed by less intense exercises can last for 30 to 40 minutes. If you are truly pushing your body to the max you will not have much energy to continue this style exercise for long durations.
So get that heart pumping, blood flowing and muscles burnin!
